Content of lipid peroxidation products in erythrocytes of rats, who received vitamin E during intoxication with cadmium cations

Y. V. Zhylischich, H. L. Antonyak

The effects of vitamin E (in the form of ?-tocopherol acetate) on the contents of lipid peroxidation products (TBA-reactive products) in erythrocytes of rats against the toxicity of Cd2+ (daily introduction of CdCl2 at a dose of 3 mg/kg for 21 days) were studied. It was established that cadmium stimulated the formation of products interacting with thiobarbituric acid in blood cells of animals. Vitamin E reduced the concentration of TBA-reactive products in erythrocytes of rats exposed to prolonged action of cadmium chloride.
