Productivity of breeding hens and quality of hatching eggs under the combined use of vitamin a and carotenoids' supplement in the diet

The article provides data about combined influence of vitamin A and carotenoid's addition to the hens' diet in reproductive period on hens' egg-laying, hatchability of eggs and the level of vitamins A and E in blood, liver and egg-yolks. It was established that adding vitamin A in amount of 2300 ²Î and carotenoids - 1,84 mg per head per day to the diet of hens of Shaver-579 breed hens in the intensive egg-laying period increases their laying by 13,6 %, hatchability in 2,19 times, and essentially increases the amount of vitamins A and E in hens' blood, liver and egg-yolks.
