Age changes of the skin structure and general resistance of cettle of different breeds
A. V. Vengryn, S. M. Kyrylovsk³y
The data concerning hematological and morphometric investigations of the skin of heifers of major dairy breeds in Western Ukraine with age tarring into acconst mechanisms of natural resistance of the organism are given in the article.
In all tested animals increase in skin thickness due to the layers of derma with age was observed. The degree of the development of the papillary layer correlates with the intensity of changes in the cell layer that is shown (displayed) in the change of inner structure of the skin itself and its structure becomes original.
Reliable breed differences of the skin structure are periodically noticed in the indices of thickness of epidermis which are manifested in black-speckled cattle.
The increase of humoral specific and non-specific immunity indices with age was noticed. Ukrainian black- and red-speckled breed animals exceeded black- speckled and simmental breed of animals in early age by all parameters of natural resistance.
It has been stated that the negative connection between thickness of the epidermis layer and tension (strain) of factors of humoral immunity existed and positive connection with the indices of non-specific immunity (lysotsym activity) existed too.
