Effects of different doses of lead, cadmium and chromium on cattle rumen fermentation in vitro

Data of lead, cadmium and chromium influence on in vitro fermentation in cattle ruminal fluid are presented. It has been pointed negative effects of lead, cadmium and chromium salts addition to the incubates on fermentation. Reduced formation of ammonia and volatile fatty acids and decrease of amylotic, proteolitic and cellulolitic activity were formed.
