The comparative characteristic of the probiotic "Baykal" EM-1-U and yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae biomass effect on the microflora's composition of Japanese quail was presented in this article. The positive effect of probiotic "Baykal" on the 21-daily quail's rectum microbiocenosis was established. The E. coli's total amount due to lactate(+)-strains increased and the coccus forms total amount was diminishing. The reliable changes in the quail group with yeast biomass were not set. But the tendency to increasing of streptococcus, staphylococcus and fungi amount was showed. The long time using (two month) of probiotic "Baykal" went to raising of slowly-fermenting E. coli's strains (to 10 % of the microorganism's general amount).
