The data about the influence of chromium-methionine compound on the hydrolytic activity of bull-calves rumen content are presented in this article. The characteristic features of this action of chelate compound upon proteolytic, cellulosolitic and starch-splitting activity of bull-calves rumen content were shown. Chromium-methionine supplement to the diet of ruminant animals accompanied by increasing of proteolytic activity of rumen content on the 45-th and 60-th days, cellulosolitic activity during all period of feeding. Reliable changes of starch-splitting activity of rumen content during all experience were not observed.
