The influence of iodine at it's concentration increase in pond water through its entering into water as KI and KIO3 in dose 0.1 and 0.13 g/ m3 correspondingly on total lipid content and their fatty acid composition of skeletal muscles in two-year old age of carp was investigated. The reliable decrease of level of oleic and palmitic acids and increase of stearic and linolenic acids was established, comparatively to their content in total lipids in skeletal muscle of control group fish.
