Influence of separate mineral elements on the growth of rumen cattle microorganisms and methane formation in vitro

I. V. Luchka G. O. Bogdanov, Y. T. Salyha, M. G. Herasymiv

The results of researches in vitro of some microelements influence on rumen microorganisms growth and methane production are given in this article. It is shown, that at adding sodium sulfate and chromium compounds to the incubation environment the growth of rumen microorganisms and product intensifies and methanogenesis decreases. While bringing compounds of nickel, cobalt and molybdenum into the incubation environment intensifies methanogenesis, adding the mixture of elements to the incubation environment strengthens microorganism growth and production of methane by them, adding microelements mixture and sulfate stimulates microorganism population growth and decreases methane production.
