The toxicity of disinfectants in human cell culture in vitro

With the purpose of selection of an optimal in vitro cell culture model for estimating toxicity of various substances for humans, experiments were performed on human cell cultures of tissue various of origin (lung cells, epitheliocytes, kidnej cells - A-549, HaCat). Two basic tests were used in a comparative research for estimation of the amount of viable cells - MTT (methyl tetrasolium test) and NRU (neutral red uptake test).
