Effect of sodium selenite and selenium ascorbate on indices of antioxidant status in geese loaded by cadmium
L.P. Vasiltseva, R. P. Paranyak
Introduction to the geese diet a 5 maximum permissible concentration of cadmium from 21- to 70-day of age in one and a half times promotes a peroxidation in a blood. Sodium selenite decreased concentration of dienic conjugates, and selenium ascorbate decreased dienic conjugates and malonic dialdehyde concentration in the geese blood. Introduction to the ration of geese of selenium lowers negative action of cadmium, thus selenium ascorbate did more effectively.
Loading of geese by the cadmium sulfate in two times lowers activity of glutathione peroxidase in a blood, then for superoxide dismutase and catalase such influencing is not exposed. Introduction to the geese diet sodium selenite levels negative action of cadmium on the antioxidant enzymes, and introduction of selenium ascorbate - promotes the glutathione peroxidase and catalase activity in a blood plasma and superoxide dismutase activity in a red blood cells.
