Effect of probiotic BPS-44 containing bacillus subtilis 44-p on biochemical and productive characteristics of laying hens under chronic intoxication by HT-2 toxin and T-2 toxin

O. V. Trufanov, A. M. Kotyk, L. V. Bojok

Feeding of Rhode Island hens with feed contained HT-2 toxin (16 mg/kg) or T-2 toxin (8 mg/kg) during 26 days resulted to increasing of uric acid and creatinine concentration and decreasing of total protein content in blood plasma, decreasing of average egg's weight and decreasing of total protein, total lipids and triglycerides and increasing of total cholesterol content in egg yolk in comparison with intact group chickens. No differences were observed in total lipids and total cholesterol concentrations in the blood plasma. As a result of administration of the probiotic preparation BPS-44 based on the strain Bacillus subtilis 44-p with a daily dose 0.4 g/head concurrently with feed contaminated by HT-2 or T-2 toxin was higher live average weight and quality of eggs, normalization of total protein, lipids and cholesterol content in egg yolk, decreasing of uric acid and creatinine concentration and increasing of total protein content in blood plasma as compared to chickens, administered only by mycotoxins.
