Animal health as a characteristic of the whole organism: methodology of determination and assessment

The cholistic approach application is based on defining the integrating level of the animal health. This sign reflects the state of the whole organism and may be used for significant improvement of safety and quality of animal products, for the creation of new criteria in choosing the reproductive animals for selection and genetics, for prognosis of vitality of separate animals and their populations. New and existent methodological approaches have been proposed to assess the characteristics of the whole organism health and examples of assessment frames have been presented.
