Age, species and organ-tissue peculiarities of lipid peroxidation processes in poultry during early postembriogenesis

U. A. Martyniuk, I. B. Ratych

Age, species and organ-tissue specific of lipid peroxidation process in 1-day, 20-day and 60-day old goslings and turkeys have been studied.

During the period of 20 days of postnatal development both in goslings and turkeys lipid peroxidation intensity has been high in all the investigated tissues, which has been proved with the help of the information on the lipid hydroperoxides concentration.

Malonic dialdehyde content in both investigated species has been the highest at the 1-day-old age.

Dynamics of lipid peroxidation products change during ontogenesis also has species and organ-tissue specifity. At the same time the lipid peroxidation products content in goslings has been the highest in liver, and a little bit lower in leg muscle tissues and blood. Lipid peroxidation products content in turkeys has decreased in such tissues as leg muscles, liver and blood. Lipid peroxidation products content has been higher in liver of goslings, than that one in liver of turkeys.
